Murals and Trompe L'Oeil
I have always loved large paintings, and the opportunity to paint
murals and scenery enables me to paint as big as possible. I enjoy
the challenge of murals, as they demand all the skills of perspective,
painting and achievement of visual effects, including trompe l'oeil,
to their utmost.
My approach to murals is that they must combine the subject matter
specified by the client with enough visual interest to survive repeated
viewings as people use the room the mural is in. This requires highly
detailed painting together with sweeping perspectives and the introduction
of lighter touches in places.

Murals are priced according to the length of time they are estimated
to take to complete (a combination of size, complexity and location).
Prices start from around £500 for a straightforward mural
on one wall and can run into several thousand pounds for large murals
with complex, highly detailed subject matter.
